Dedicated to My Father
I always knew that my dad wanted to be cremated, but when the time came, scattering my dad’s ashes and having nowhere to visit to remember him just didn’t sit well with me. As a keen gardener, Dad loved the great outdoors, so when we discovered the Tree For Life option for natural burial, we instantly knew this was the best option for dad’s final resting place.
Finding a way to keep his memory alive whilst having less impact on the environment was key to staying true to his wishes.
I liked that there are a range of tree options to further personalise the biodegradable urn.
Now every time I see the hazel tree that grew from the Tree For Life urn, I think of my dad.

Dedicated to My Mother
My mum Edith was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, and even during this incredibly difficult time, she was able to plan her own ‘green funeral’.
Mum didn’t want the traditional burial options with a headstone – she always wanted to do things her own way! But after losing her battle with cancer in late 2017, as a family we didn’t know what to do with her ashes besides burying them in the dedicated woodland section of our local cemetery.
We knew that we’d like to have a specific focal point where we could visit, but not necessarily in that cemetery environment. This is where the Tree For Life biodegradable urn came in and gave us the option to bury mum’s ashes and enjoying the blossoming tree every year.

Dedicated to My Wife
I had never heard of an Eco friendly burial before, but my wife Susanna had always expressed her desire to have a green funeral. She was so interested in protecting the environment through her lifestyle choices and certainly influenced my perceptions on the topic.
After her unexpected passing in 2018, we as a family decided that a Tree For Life organic burial pod felt like the right way to carry out her wishes.
We chose a beautiful cherry tree for her ashes, which promises beautiful pink petals every spring, and we planted it in the garden that she loved spending time in.
I’d like to have a Tree For Life bio urn for my ashes when my time comes.
