Rowan

Also known as the Mountain Ash, the Rowan tree (Sorbus Aucuparia) is a very popular fast growing native tree, reaching up to 20m. Attractive red berries and leaves turn an attractive shade of orange in autumn.

In folklore the Rowan is one of the most magical and mystical of trees believed to ward off witches and evil spirits and considered so sacred that they were rarely cut down or burnt.

The current height of these trees is approximately 30-50cm and they can be planted out all year round.
